Uhhhh... so Piper moves his arms (like a whole lot of other people) when describing things and talks loudly sometimes (like a whole lot of other people). What a trite observation. What I find bizzarre is that this girl would be scared by it and that "Piper does scare some people." Maybe said people need to get out more and, you know, get a life.

Merry Christmas.

You all should read about Mr. Spurgeon and humor. It seems that he felt he should be commended for being so restrained. Laughter is really a part of scripture. A friend of mine was actually named Laughter by his parents. He had been raised an Orthodox Jew, and his name was Isaac. Yes, the name means laughter, and he use to laugh and tell me that such was the case. By the way I actually saw a fulfillment of a biblical prophecy once. I was teaching some ladies the book of Genesis, and we had come to Gen. 21:1-8. They asked for an explanation of verse 6, and when they understood it they actually burst out laughing. It hit me really hard that I had seen a word from the Bible fulfilled right before my eyes and in my ears. AND THAT FULFILLMENT WAS LAUGHTER. Joyful laughter has its place in the Christian Faith just as grief and tears do (contrary to popular opinion). Let us fall down and worship this great God who has revealed Himself to us!

Dogg, though Piper and I disagree on so much, I still love the guys' preaching style. Incidentally, there is a link I posted on my blog on a related topic. Love to hear your comments.
